A little child asked his Dad, who are the people in the coloured windows in the church. His Dad said that they were the Saints, and who are the Saints the child asked .Dad was pondering for an answer, when the little lad said ...I know...They are people that let the light shine through them. The answer covers All Saints, All Souls, and All Sorts. Jesus asks us to be a light for each other ,not the sun or moon or star ...a light .The light of God is in our heart .Parents are showing, a way, a light ,to their children all the time .People in everyday work ,in everyday living have the gift of letting a light of thanks, honesty, friendship, courtesy ,of caring shine . I sometimes say to young people ...let people see your face ...look at others...a face is a light...a smile, a blessing light .It is risk worth taking .Moses face was always a light when God had spoken to him ,,and the Glory of God shone on the Face of Jesus Christ . We have got many lights from God, through our parents departed .We can best respect our dear ones departed when we let the lights they have given us shine in our lives now .My father always wanted to help others, and was a bit wild. My mother was shy, gentle and good humoured .I have plenty of lights there to let shine.
