Michael Maine’s writings are very heartening. He tells, that when we go to Heaven, God will ask only one question. Did you enjoy my creation? The pearl of creation is woman and man... the wonder of ones own being, and the wonder of the other. I think that most of us are almost embarrassed with compliment. The Good Lord is so lavish in compliments, as if He/She, sees one’s own reflection in the other person. You are the salt of the earth, Jesus says. The pinch of salt, the best cooks say, gives a flavour to food. Jesus tells us that we are His flavour. Be a flavour... My chef friend tells me that we eat with our eyes. We are rubbing shoulders everyday with people. Why don’t I look at people more often, and add flavour to life. You are the light of the world, Jesus tells us. We are not asked to be the the sun, moon, or star, but a candle light. Nobody can do everything. All can do something. Be a light ...find a compliment, before a criticism. Two people looked in a garden. One said ..aren’t the weeds terrible. The other said... Aren’t the flowers beautiful. You are My Light. Be a light.
