4 Sunday  Lent B

Cardinal Basil Hume spoke these words about ‘death’. The moment of death, is whispering into the ears of a Merciful and Compassionate Father the story of my life that I have never before been able to tell anyone, and being completely understood, and totally accepted, a moment of deliverance and peace. Children love to tell their stories and be understood, and that is precious blessing time. The elderly love to tell their story and be listened to also. To a dying soldier the priest said ..The Father is calling you home say ‘yes’.

God tells us today, that God loved our world so much that He shared us with Jesus Christ. We find it difficult to believe that Gods Love for us is like that, with no conditions, no ‘ifs’. Most of life we feel that we have to earn the love of others...being good, being a success, stardom, winning the prize is celebrated. Sometimes ‘Stars’ are the loneliest of people.

There is only One Faithful Love from beginning to end, who tells us today that we are His work of art, never forgotten, priceless, which makes us sing ‘He’s got the whole world in His Hands.....He’s got you and me brother .....you and  me sister ...the little bitty babies ..in His Hands .
