My left Foot is a movie about a handicapped Dublin man .A devoted lady doctor taught him how to talk .He fell in love with her. When she got married he was upset .He said ‘you taught me how to talk, so that I could SAY ‘I love you ‘.God has talked us into life. So that we can say ’I love you‘. Easy words, but somehow mysterious too. Many people battle against twisted ideas of God. Maybe inbred, handed down through bad experiences, at home, in school, in religion ,even Authority and State .,who feel it obligatory to ban religion ,having in mind bad religion .But Christian Religion that sees God as Ever Loving Father ,and every human person as precious and lovable, can only be good, and very good .It is obscene to think of killing or hurting in Loves.. Gods name .I love the blessing of the new baby with perfume oil on the heart, and on the head .Sometimes I ask the parents ...which would you put first .Generally the answer is...heart......and they are right .Jesus puts heart first in today’s Word of God, and then soul and mind .I ask myself sometimes ...How do we feed or fuel the heart in our Education programmes .Heart comes before understanding . God loves long before we ever understand. The parent loves the child long before the child ever understands, and says Thanks. So developing human ,friendly, and loving relationships would be a first ,in education for life .Nancy, in the Church ,welcomes the little ones lighting candles, and shows them how to bless , tells them who, or what ,we can pray for to Our Loving Father . .A little fell said last Sunday ....Do I say the prayer before or after lighting the candle ...He had the right combination, heart and mind ...
