Parents are getting ready for school.Young people are searching for college places .and places for work.I don’t think that Jesus would tell them ....get rid of your possessions.I think, that He would say ..you are my friends ....you are the salt of the earth ...you are the light of the world.I do think that He would say ...In life,do not be ‘possessed ‘by anything or anyone.Possessions ,won’t fully satisfy your human spirit.Everything and everyone are gifts of God,are pointers or signs of God,but not God.God ,The Giver of all ,has been called ...The Number One Materialist..Indeed,His Spirit touches us all the time ,through material things ,earth,air,water,fire ,food,fun.Alexander Solsynitzen,spent long hours in prison ,in Siberia.He reflects that ‘power ‘can be poison,if we don’t relate to Someone,or Something outside ourselves,to ask for help and guidance .There is a line of good and evil occupying ever human heart.We can be makers of evil or makers of blessing.The word evil reversed spells LIVE.When we forget The Creator we often forget the creature.Mass is a great healing blessing,a constant reminder of The Creator,with inspiring respect for all creatures.
