Being told to be grateful for the gift of faith was an instruction from early childhood. I thought that the gift of faith, was knowing the catechism answers, learning prayers, going to church. Then spiritual writers told me that ‘’faith’’ was a gift of God, not to be earned by ’’flesh and blood’’. Faith was to follow Jesus Christ, to see in His Way......Faith is a way of seeing. Seeing what God is like ....A Loving Compassionate Father of super abundant generosity and forgiveness, seeing who I am, a chosen loved one, God’s special wonder, seeing others in their spark of God, seeing the Masters imprint in Nature and Seasons, seeing The Hand, and Providence of God in the ‘’bad things’’ that happen in State and Church, believing that ‘’All things will be well, and all manner of things’’. Julian of Norwich also believes, that even our sins, will be our glory in Heaven. So now when I ask ‘’Lord, increase my faith, I think that I am asking for a way of seeing God, through the eyes of Jesus Christ, and ’’following through’’ what I see, with the help of Jesus Christ ....His Spirit.
