I went to the city of Norwich to visit the Shrine of Saint Julian.Her visions of God are so powerful and encouraging,best known ..All will be well,and all manner of things.She tells ,that our sins and failings will be our glory,like lead frames holding glorious window colours.We will be saturated in Light.Perhaps,she is reflecting on Jesus words to day ...’’Do not be afraid little flock,for Your Father is pleased to give you the Kingdom’.The Kingdom ,is God’s plan of Love ,which begins now, and reaches fulfillment in the Face of God.It is often said ,that we have only one life to live,How do we make the best of it.Jesus advises us to chose ,in life,what does not wear out,like kindness,generosity,respect,honesty of work,doing the good turn for any human being,having a good word,, waiting on others ,and waiting through illness.We often live in a world of false enticements and promises, that pretend that happiness is in possessing things,having all we want.Our wants are exaggerated.Our needs are truth.We need friendship and love ,because we are a spirit people made for Love.and also privileged to be love givers.The gifts and blessings of life are not ‘gods’,be it sport,music,beauty.,or whatever.They entertain for a time,fade and pass away,and cannot totally satisfy us.They are pointers to The Giver of all gifts and life . A prayer of Thanks and Praise in the heart will guide us.
