There was a Kerryman who was in love with  a girl, but he was too shy to tell her.Whenever his pals met her ,the Kerryman  would always ask them.....was my name drawn down.God draws down all our names  always. In todays Story ,Jesus tells us ,that we are chosen for who we are,not what we do.His friends were excited about results.Jesus says ...Rejoice that your names are written in Heaven. That is exciting news, but not easy to accept in a world that so  many things are judged by results,in the business world, church, banks, sport, exams, competitions of all sorts.

The chip of God in us,our being ,remains no matter what we do.This sounds like an excuse for doing nothing, not so.Love always reciprocates, like heat from a fire. Our actions are loves response to the wonder of our being. You are my special chosen ones ,and will always be,Jesus teaches. We don’t earn forgiveness. We are always forgiven. We don’t have to  make God love us .We are always loved. We can draw the curtain on the sunshine, but The Sun still shines.Perhaps,a sign of our love response is how often we say thanks .I notice this especially in Nursing Homes, and Care Centres.Rejoice that your names are written in Heaven.
