Kevin  - Glendalough - Ireland  - 7th Century

A trip through the Wicklow Gap mountains to the lakes of Glendalough on a June day is a taste of Heaven. Kevin made this place his heaven on earth. He was a soul friend of Ciaran of Clonmacnoise. Kevin's bed, has been a place of pilgrimage for over a thousand years.

The stones of Glendalough, the chattering waters of it's streams, the silent lakes, the mountains framed in blue and white, whisper messages of eternal longing. It's vacancy is full of voices.

A blind man sat on a stone playing a song on his musical instrument. He smiled at everyone, although he saw no one.
